John Wattin
Chairman of the Board

The Chairman of Board for Syntensia AB, Mr. John Wattin has been actively involved in the IT industry for over 30 years and successfully managed a number of companies in his portfolio.

Mr. Wattin has held positions in a number of well-known companies in Sweden such as Astral AB, Modulf�tagen AB and Scandiakonsult AB. Mr. Wattin was also one of the founders of Enator AB (Today TietoEnator one of Nordics largest IT-services company) and was actively involved in Indevo AB, Mandator AB and Sigma AB (all of them top ranked IT-companies in Sweden).

Other board duties include/have included MySQL AB (Chairman and Vice Chairman), Betsson (Chairman), Akademikliniken AB (Chairman and Vice Chairman) Establish AB (Chairman), Lemon Planet AB/ PortWise (Chairman), Net Entertainment AB, Proventus AB, Value Tree AB (Chairman), Qbranch AB (Chairman) and Board member of Silentium AB.

Today, Mr. Wattin works as an independent investor. He is the author of an award-winning book on running and developing service companies.

Kaushik Thakkar
Board of Director

Mr. Kaushik Thakkar, Board of Director, Syntensia, is an entrepreneur with a strong technical and commercial background. Also the Co-founder and VP Sales World-wide and Strategic Alliances of PortWise, an Identity and Access Management company,
Mr. Thakkar together with Mr John Wattin and Martin Wattin founded Syntensia, a company focused on providing security as subscription services to mainly SMB customers.

Mr. Thakkar has had a working experience around the globe from Asia, Europe and USA and has high levels of contacts in the security industry both in Sweden and globally. Mr. Thakkar also has considerable experience of designing and implementing security solutions based on encryption technologies in a wide range of industries. Mr. Thakkar is a veteran when it comes to the security industry. He also lectures on security and access systems and is a well known speaker with experience from IIR, ICM, Svenskt Naringsliv.

Mr. Thakkar holds an MSc. in Computer Science and Technology with specialty in IT-security and PKI from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden.

Martin Wattin
Board of Director

Mr. Martin Wattin, Board of Director, Syntensia, has held several positions within the financial industry and has a number of companies to his portfolio. Founder and CEO of Contur and co-founder of Centera Outsourcing AB, Mr. Wattin also holds the position of CEO in the investment company Inbox AB. His family's other investments include 15 investments, companies like PortWise, MySQL, Silentium AB, 118100, Ikivo, QBranch AB, Itescso AB.

Mr. Wattin has a Master of Finance degree from the University of Colorado, USA.

Magnus Bergman
Board of Director

Mr. Magnus Bergman is the co-founder and partner of CrossConnect, a technology
Strategy firm specializing in the information and communication technology area. He is an active business angel with currently six investments, mainly in the above areas.

Mr. Bergman has founded several successful consulting and venture capital
firms including Parallel consulting which was sold to Icon Media Lab.

Mr. Bergman also served on the board of Icon Medialab International.

Kicki Wallje-Lund
Board of Director

Mrs. Kicki Wallje-Lund is the CEO and founder of Wellnet AB. She has extensive experience in business development and has held executive roles in a number of global companies including NCR, Digital Equipment, AT & T Philips, ICL and Unisys.

Mrs. Wallje-Lund is COB of Curera AB and a board member of Betson AB.

Johan Hansson
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Johan Hansson, the Chief Executive Officer comes to Syntensia with broad experience in business development, and global sales and marketing.
Prior to joining Syntensia, Mr. Hansson held the position of Managing Director with Gansevoort Media LLC, a media and internet product development firm prior to joining Syntensia.

He brings with him vast experience, holding prominent positions of managing director as well as launch director for Metro Hong Kong and Metro North America, divisions of Metro International, the world's largest global newspaper. In North America he was responsible for the launch of the company's largest ever start-up, Metro New York, and helped develop and execute a plan that led to accelerated growth and revenue.

Prior to that he held various management positions in the UK, the Netherlands, and Poland for Metro International and STS Language Schools.

Miral Nandani
Chief Operation Officer

Mr. Miral Nandani, the Chief Operating Officer has held positions like Chief Financial Officer and Finance Controller in a couple of public listed companies before Syntensia.

He brings extensive experience on the operational and business development area.

Mr. Nandani has worked for Nordea Bank, which is one of the largest scandinavian bank in the capacity of a controller. He has also worked for Metro International, which is the largest newspaper public listed company. He has also been involved in new start ups in USA and Europe.

Mr. Nandani has a Masters in Finance degree and an MBA in International Business.

Michael Leo
Director - Product and Services

Mr. Michael Leo, Director - Product and Services, brings deep product expertise in security and networking. With over 18 years of experience in Product Management and Marketing, Mr. Leo has extensive experience with early growth and mature companies.

Mr. Leo previously was with WatchGuard Technologies, a pioneer in security appliances focused on small and mid-sized enterprises. Prior to WatchGuard, Mr. Leo helped launch software and service-based product offerings with Internet media streaming pioneer, RealNetworks, and major telecommunications manufacturer, Nortel.

Mr. Leo holds a MBA from the University of San Francisco and a BS degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Utah, USA.
